Chetan Bhagat is a multi-talented author who has written various books aimed at motivating and inspiring the younger generation. He was born and raised in the city of New Delhi. His father was an army officer, while his mother worked for the Department of Agriculture. He attended the Army Public School in Dhaula Kuan, Delhi, where he completed his education. In 1995, he obtained his undergraduate degree from the Indian Institute of Technology in Delhi, and in 1997, he received his MBA from the Indian Institute of Management in Ahmedabad.

He worked as an investment banker for Goldman Sachs in Hong Kong for nearly a decade and penned 'Five Point Someone' while there. When he was sacked, he had no choice but to relocate to Mumbai to pursue his writing career full-time.
